From the article: Hiking Mt. Rose
There are numerous Reno / Tahoe hiking trails from which to choose. Paths are found throughout the greater Reno metro area, or you can tackle more strenuous treks in the Sierra Nevada like the Mt. Rose Summit Trail and the spectacular Tahoe Rim Trail. Hikers, tell us about your favorite trails and why you like to hike them. Why It's a Favorite Trail

Nice Hike

Easy and good hike...went early in the morning...saw 7-8 coyotes near the water body....beautiful views in all directions...Hufftaker...in and above the city.

Huffaker Hills Trailhead

I like the Huffaker Hills trails in south Reno for several reasons. It's near where I live and a nice place for a leisurely hike on weekends and after work. The walking is easy, the views are great, and there are beautiful spring wildflowers. There are two loops, so you can choose between a short jaunt or take a longer walk to a good viewpoint and check out a bird's eye view across the Truckee Meadows.
