Spring Art Tour
- May 11, 2013. Tour various art while enjoying wine and cheese pairings at the Spring Art Tour to benefit local non-profit Step 2. Live pianist and stringed instrument trio. A portion of the art sales proceeds to benefit Step 2. There will also be a silent auction. This Saturday May 11th from Noon to 3pm at Sprads RV, 10000 So. Virginia at South Meadows Pkwy.

Bacon, Bourbon and Brews - for CAREChest
- June 28, 2013. Kick off summertime fun at CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada’s inaugural Bacon, Bourbon and Brews event on June 28, 2013, from 4-8pm. This exciting fundraising event, held at the beautiful Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater at Bartley Ranch, will showcase bacon-focused culinary creations from local food trucks, including Gourmelt, Battle Born and Lazy Sundae. Participants will also enjoy the best in local brews from Great Basin Brewing Co. and The Brewer’s Cabinet, plus a variety of fine bourbons. General admission is $25 in advance, and $35 at the door. VIP tickets are available for $40. Tickets go on sale May 1, 2013. All proceeds from the event will benefit CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada’s medical resource programs for Northern Nevadans in need.
