Jitloff competes in the spectrum of alpine skiing events - downhill, slalom, giant slalom, Super G, and super combined. Vancouver will be Jitloff's first Winter Olympics appearance. The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games run from February 12 to 28.

Tim Jitloff's Alpine Skiing Record

He has been National Champion three times. Vancouver alpine skiing events where you may see Jitloff include downhill, slalom, giant slalom, Super G, and super combined. He opened his 2010 season with second place in giant slalom at a FIS race in Austria.

Jitloff Doesn't Make the Cut at Vancouver

What is Alpine Skiing?

Olympic alpine skiing involves a number of events where competitors are timed through the course. These include downhill, slalom, giant slalom, Super G, and super combined. At the Olympic level of competition, the top finishers are typically only hundreths of a second apart.

Jitloff's alpine teammates include Bode Miller of Franconia, NH, and Marco Sullivan, Squaw Valley, CA. The others are listed by the U.S. Ski Team.
