Reno / Lake Tahoe 2010 Winter Olympic Games Athletes

Athletes from the Reno / Lake Tahoe had mixed results at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. Our contingent competed in alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, and snowboarding events. Here is a summary of their performances, a real mix of the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.

Freestyle skier Daron Rahlves, Sugar Bowl, CA, is on the U.S. Olympic men's ski team and will compete in ski cross at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Alpine skier Julia Mancuso, Olympic Valley, CA, is on the U.S. Olympic women's ski team and will compete in a number of alpine skiing events at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Snowboarder Nate Holland, Squaw Valley, CA, has dominated the Winter X Games and will compete in snowboard cross at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Alpine skier Marco Sullivan, Squaw Valley, CA, is on the U.S. Olympic men's ski team and will compete in a number of alpine skiing events at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Snowboarder Elena Hight, South Lake Tahoe, CA, has had made the women's team and will compete in halfpipe snowboarding at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Freestyle skier Shannon Bahrke, Tahoe City, CA, is on the U.S. Olympic women's ski team and will compete in the moguls freestyle skiing event at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Alpine skier Stacey Cook, Truckee, CA, is on the U.S. Olympic women's ski team and will compete in a number of alpine skiing events at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Alpine skier Tim Jitloff, Reno, NV, is on the U.S. Olympic men's ski team and will compete in a number of alpine skiing events at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Freestyle skier Errol Kerr, Truckee, CA, represents the Jamaica Ski Team and trains at Alpine Meadows. Kerr will compete in ski cross at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Snowboarder Hannah Teter, Belmont, VT, and South Lake Tahoe, CA, has had made the women's team and will compete in halfpipe snowboarding at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Snowboarder Greg Bretz, Mammoth Lakes, CA, will be on the men's U.S. Olympic team and will compete in halfpipe snowboarding at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. Superstar Shaun White is one of his teammates.
