Reno and Washoe County General Election 2008 - Candidates by Office

Who Will Be on the General Election Ballot

By , About.com Guide

Washoe County voters are going to have lots of candidate decisions to make this election cycle, starting with the president on down to the city council and school board members. We also have numerous ballot questions to decide, including those that would amend the Nevada Constitution and tax codes.

    Early Voting

Early voting is for you if you can't, or don't want to, go to your specified polling place on November 4. With early voting, you have a 14 day window during which to vote, and you can do so at numerous locations. Find out how this works in my article on Early Voting in Reno and Washoe County.

If you have any concerns about whether or not you are registered to vote, check the Washoe County Voter Registration Status website. By simply entering your last name and birth date, you can make sure you are actually registered and that your information is correct. This is vital should your right to vote be challenged.

    Washoe County Candidates by Office

Some contests are national or statewide wherein all registered voters in Nevada can vote, while others are restricted by political boundaries such as counties. Depending on where you live, some of these names and offices may or may not be on your ballot. Go to the Candidate Information web page to view information candidates have submitted about themselves.
