The Burning Man organization launched a new ticket buying system for the 2012 event. It quickly turned into a nightmare for both those wanting to get tickets and the Burning Man people selling them. Lots of long-time attendees and artists were aced out and the scalpers came out in force. Burning Man made some changes as the fiasco unfolded, which helped to mollify some disappointed Burners.
