Chris Ault, Nevada Wolf Pack football head coach for the last 28 years, stunned the Reno community with his retirement announcement at the end of 2012. Ault's record over 28 years of coaching stands at 233-109-1. His amazing run as the Wolf Pack's head football coach brought national recognition to the team and to the University of Nevada, Reno. Since he is in good health and only 66, we probably haven't heard the last of Chris Ault. There is talk of his getting involved with the NFL, but we'll see. Stay tuned for the next chapter in Ault's football saga. The names of possible replacements are already floating around, but at this writing a successor has yet to be named.

If nothing else, Ault's coaching prowess will live on with former Nevada star Colin Kaepernick. "Kap" is the talk of the 2012-2013 NFL season after coming off the bench to assume starting quartback duties with the San Francisco 49ers. Behind his running and passing, the 49ers won the NFC West Division championship and may end up in another Super Bowl.
