Reno's West Street Market had its grand opening on Saturday, December 6, 2008. West Street Market, a project of the Reno Redevelopment Agency, has transformed a block of old brick buildings into a fun shopping and dining area occupied by over a dozen new restaurants and stores. During summer, a farmers' market of fresh, locally grown food is set up in the open plaza and along West Street. West Street Market is between 1st and 2nd Streets in downtown Reno, a block from the Truckee River.
