Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) is Reno's busiest shopping day of the year. Most big stores and shopping malls will be open early and stay open for extended hours. Reno shoppers will find lots of bargains on all kinds of merchandise as retailers try to make the best of the holiday shopping season. If you have the money and get out early, you'll undoubtedly find some extra good bargains as stores slash prices to move the merchandise.

Black Friday has turned into Black November. Retailers have been aggressively pushing bargains and trying to lure shoppers since the end of October. Not only will you find major deals in the stores well before Black Friday, you'll also find online shopping to be burgeoning with bargains and incentives like free shipping. Check around online and you may not even want to fight the mall wars on Black Friday.

Shop Reno Locally Owned Stores on Black Friday

Big box stores aren't the only choice for Black Friday shopping, nor do they necessarily have what you are looking for. Locally owned Reno-area stores are certainly worth a look during the holiday shopping season. Another significant plus to spending your money in hometown stores is that money spent in Reno stays in Reno. It circulates around the area with a multiplier effect, benefiting the economy here rather than being siphoned off to anonymous corporations in other states and countries. Attention Local Business Owners - Tell us about your locally-owned business; how you got started, what you do, why people should do business with you, etc. Telling your story is a great way to attract new customers, and it's free.
