The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is sponsored by Extended Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). The organization is directed by and for its members and provides a variety of learning and social opportunities for active older adults. OLLI receives funding through grants from the Bernard Osher Foundation. OLLI has been at UNR since 2001, and is part of a network of over 120 OLLI programs at universities such as UC Berkley, UC Davis, Brandeis, Duke, and Northwestern, to mentiona few.

The scope of available courses is quite amazing. Annual membership is $45 per person and scholarship assistance is available. Course materials for some classes is extra. Enrollment is limited and some classes require pre-registration, so don't wait if you want to participate in these courses. Most classes are held at the OLLI facility in downtown Reno:

Warren Nelson Building, 401 W. Second St., Suite 235, Reno, NV 89503
OLLI Office: (775) 784-8053
Extended Studies at UNR: (775) 784-4046

Some classes take place in south Reno at the UNR Redfield Campus next to the Mt. Rose Highway:

18600 Wedge Parkway, Reno, NV 89511

OLLI Interest Groups

In addition to schedules classes, a number of ongoing interest groups are available to OLLI members. Some of these are...
  • The Big Questions
  • Coop Group
