The Bottom Line
Silver Peak is a good choice for lunch in downtown Reno and a nice change from fast food or casino ambience. The service is prompt, which downtown workers on a lunch break will appreciate. Big windows make the atmosphere light and pleasant, and there is outside seating if you prefer on nice weather days. I enjoyed a relaxed lunch with my wife (who works downtown) and would not hesitate to stop in again. I have not eaten dinner here, so am not competent to comment on what goes on after 5 p.m.

Guide Review - Silver Peak Grill and Taproom
My wife Jewel and I had lunch at Silver Peak and were pleased with both the service and the food. The server was attentive, but not overbearing. I had the Santa Fe chicken sandwich and fries, both of which were tasty and served up quickly. Jewel had the Brewers Burger, which she found equally satisfying. Both sandwiches were sized for normal people rather than being the humongous things you get in most places. We actually share a meal in some places because there is just too much of what they consider a single serving. I like the restaurant's location, which is nicely removed from the casino district along Virginia Street. Big windows make it bright inside, and outside tables on a level above the sidewalk make for a pleasant dining experience on balmy days. Street parking is metered and can be hard to find, but Silver Peak will validate your ticket for the Parking Gallery right next door.
