How to Submit a Photo to About Reno / Tahoe

If you have a photo you would like to share in one of my About Reno / Tahoe photo galleries, here's how to do it. Please follow these steps or I probably won't be able to use your picture. You will be sending it as an email attachment to this address - renotahoe.guide@about.com.

1. You must include the following phrase in your email or I can't use your photos. You can copy and paste it into the email.

I certify that I am the author or sole owner of the material I am submitting to About, Inc. About, Inc. and its licensees may reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works and otherwise use the material for any purpose in any form and on any media. I agree to indemnify About, Inc. for all damages and expenses that may be incurred in connection with the material.

2. Provide a short description of each photo, including location.

3. Tell me what name you'd like to use for the photo credit.

4. Attach your photo(s) to the message and send it to renotahoe.guide@about.com. Please put "Photo Submission" in the subject line.

I am currently accepting photos of the following:

• Reno / Tahoe Sky Scenes (sunrise, sunset, clouds, storms, etc.)
• Fall Color Pictures from the Reno / Tahoe Region
• Nevada's Wild Horses & Burros
• Northern Nevada Wildflowers
• Nevada Day Celebration in Carson City
• Funny and Unusual Reno / Tahoe Photos (a photo gallery of these will be published when I have enough)

If you've got something you think is outstanding and it doesn't necessarily fit any of these categories, feel free to send it along anyway. I like finding ways to use pictures on the site and am open to suggestions. Who knows, you might start something.

I can't use photos that are larger than 600x600 pixels. If those you send are larger than that, I will resize them. I reserve the right to choose which pictures to publish and may not use all the photos I receive. When your photos have gone live on About Reno / Tahoe, I'll send an email letting you know.
