Find out what's happening and when with the 2011 Reno River Festival Schedule of Events. Beer fans will enjoy the Biggest Little Homebrew Competition, a new event for those who make their own suds.
Kayak Open Freestyle - $40 per participant. Online registration through May 5. On-site registration through 11 a.m. May 6. Competition on Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7. Competitors are divided into men’s, women’s and junior’s divisions.
Kayak Slalom - $40 per participant. Online registration through May 5. On-site registration through 9 a.m. May 6. Competition on Saturday, May 7. Prizes for the top three finishers in each class.
Stand Up Paddleboard - $40 per participant. Online registration through May 5. On-site registration through 5 p.m. May 7. Competition on Sunday, May 8. Prizes for the top three competitors down the class III course.
Open Boatercross - $40 per participant. Online registration through May 5. On-site registration through 5 p.m. May 7. Competition on Sunday, May 8. Competitors are divided into men’s, women’s and junior’s divisions. Prizes for the top three competitors in each division.
Kayaking Clinics - Free. On Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8. Registration for the free clinics is on-site only at the event registration booth on Arlington Avenue. First come, first served. Check out the 2011 Reno River Festival Schedule of Events for clinic times.
Run Amuck - $35 per mucker (2-person teams). Online registration through May 5. On-site registration through 12 noon. May 7. Competition on Saturday, May 7. The annual costume contest takes place immediately prior to the race at 12:30 p.m. on the Wingfield Stage and the run begins at 2 p.m. This is a relay race with the "baton" being a bar of soap.
