The Reno area has some great Halloween pumpkin patches. Check these out for family-friendly Halloween fun that includes corn mazes, haunted houses, bounce houses, hay rides, pumpkin picking, and lots more.
Pumpkin Patches in the Reno Area
Open October 1 through 31. The Toll House Pumpkin Patch is a big production with lots of activities for the kids, including the huge Child's Garden bounce house / sliding structure, Caterpillar Crawl, a petting zoo, pony rides, train ride, hay fort, mini ATVs, haunted house, and lots more. Tickets for the attractions are $1 each, with the number of tickets required varying for each activity. A book of 22 tickets is $20.
Toll House Pumpkin Patch is at 12185 S. Virginia Street in Reno, on the west side just south of Bishop Manogue Drive. Hours are Sunday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Rides close at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with rides closing at 8 p.m. The information phone number is (775) 636-5100.
Open October 1 through 31. Ferrari Farms puts on a terrific Halloween event. There is a corn maze, bounce house, farm animals, hay rides, pumpkin patch, a train ride, and pumpkins and squash for sale. Having a go in the corn maze is $5, with children under 2 free. Enjoying a hay ride is $3 per person and $10 per family. The bounce house is $2 per child and pony rides are $4. Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day through the 31st. Open October 1 through 31. This pumpkin patch is open Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed Sundays. New in 2013 is a Corn Maze, open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Andelin Family Farm Pumpkin Patch is located on a real working farm in the Spanish Springs area of Sparks. Admission is $6 per person (kids under 1 are free) and $1 more for the hayride. Pony and horse rides (Saturdays only) are $4 per ride. The Corn Maze is $2 per person in addition to regular admission or $5 as a separate activity. There are animals to visit, pumpkins to pick, and lots of activities for kids like an art barn, spider web climbing structure, hay bale maze, and little garden play area. Pumpkin Patches and Corn Mazes in Nearby Areas
Lattin Farms is about 60 miles east of Reno / Sparks, at 1955 McLean Road, Fallon, NV 89406. The big attraction at Lattin Farms is a huge corn maze that has a different theme each year. For 2013, it's "Star Gaze Corn Maze." The corn maze is open during October, on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Nevada Day (October 25, 2013) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for kids 4 to 14, and free for children under 4. The Lattin Farms Fall Festival is on Saturdays in October, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is a hayride, pumpkin patch, cow train, and farm animals to visit. The produce stand is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Lunch at the Country Kitchen is available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Corley Ranch is located south of Carson City at 859 Highway 395 South in Gardnerville, Nevada. During October, Corley Ranch hosts a weekend pumpkin patch that includes a 3 acre corn maze, pig races, farm animals, bounce house, hay rides, a kiddie land, entertainment, and other activities. You can also buy pumpkins and visit the country store. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is $6 adults, $5 for seniors and kids ages 3 to 17. On Saturday nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., there is a Night Crawler Corn Maze for $7 and a Haunted Hay Ride for $2. Kids 4 and under are free for both of these acitivities.
