Where I Like to Walk My Dog
There are lots of places for dog walking in the Reno / Tahoe area. Some people like going to the local dog parks and others prefer places where they can walk or jog with their canine pal. Tell us about your favorite dog walking place.
Washoe County Regional Animal Services Center
Washoe County, Reno, Sparks, and Incline Village domestic animal services are consolidated at this regional center. Get dog licenses here.
Nevada Humane Society
This is a great organization dedicated to the welfare of our pets through numerous community programs.
SPCA of Northern Nevada
The SPCA operates Reno's "no kill" animal shelter and helps find homes for many dogs and cats every year. This community organization also operates the SPCA of Northern Nevada "No-Kill" Shelter Thrift Store near downtown Reno.
City of Reno Dog Parks
Reno has two dog parks with fenced areas designated for off-leash dogs. Be sure to read and abide by the rules and regulations.
Sparks Marina Dog Park
The Sparks Marina Park features a 77 acre lake offering plenty of family fun, including a dog park.
