The 2010 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Basketball Tournament will be played in Lawlor Events Center on the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) campus. The tournament starts Wednesday, March 10, with four quarterfinal games in the women's bracket. The men's quarterfinals are the next day, March 11, again with four games. Victors in these games advance to the semi-final and final games. The two teams left standing in each bracket play for their respective championships on Saturday, March 14 - women at 1 p.m. and men at 7 p.m. Winners of each series will earn an automatic bid to the big NCAA Tournament.

WAC Tournament Participating Teams

Teams from these schools are in the Western Athletic Conference - Boise State, Idaho, Fresno State, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico State, Hawaii, San Jose State, and Utah State. For 2010, Utah tops the standings and Nevada is sitting in the middle. Boise State and Hawai'i occupy the cellar.

There are special ticket deals available as both the Wolf Pack and the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) are working to boost WAC Tournament attendance. 2009 WAC Tournament

The 2009 WAC Tournament was also played in Lawlor Events Center at UNR. Both Wolf Pack teams made it to the finals, but lost and were eliminated at that point. The WAC Tournament moves to Las Vegas in 2011.
