Summer camps for children of all ages are being offered in 2014 by Extended Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), with KIDS University, Lake Tahoe Music Camp, and Wolf Pack Sports Camps. The summer camps run on various dates from June through August. Registration for camp sessions is available online and also by phone. Call (775) 784-4046 or (800) 233-8928, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

KIDS University

June 16 - August 1, 2014. KIDS University is a summer day camp for kids entering 2nd through 8th grades and features week long camp sessions in the arts, writing, science, math, literature, theatre, history, web design, cultural exploration, sports and games, and much more. There are both full day and half day sessions. Fees range from $160 to $210 per week for full day camp and $112 to $140 per week for half day camp. Full-day sessions are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a lunch break followed by afternoon recreational activities. Half-day sessions run from 8 a.m to 12:15 p.m. A $25 non-refundable / non-transferable deposit is required for each weeklong session at time of registration. Wolf Pack Sports Camps

June - August, 2014. Summer Wolf Pack Sports Camps are offered for firs through twelfth grade children of all ages and abilities. The camps are hosted by Nevada Wolf Pack coaching staff and current and former players and provide opportunities for young athletes to have fun, learn new skills and get a feel for what the college experience is like by using UNR's own athletic facilities. Many camps also include an NCAA education session. The sports offered include baseball, basketball, cross country, football, soccer, softball, track and field, and volleyball.

Full-day, half-day, and overnight Wolf Pack camps are available. Schedules and individual / team fees vary with each camp. Lake Tahoe Music Camp

July 6 - 12, 2014. The 58th annual Lake Tahoe Music Camp invites middle school through high school student musicians to participate in a week of music-making, workshops, performances, and fun. The overnight camp is held at the Nevada State 4-H Camp in Stateline, Nevada, on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Sessions are conducted by award-winning UNR faculty and regional educators, guest conductors, professional chamber and jazz musicians, and more. The fee is $550 per camper.
