Family New Year's Eve Party at Squaw Valley - Celebrate East Coast Toast at High Camp with a fabulous night on the mountain at Squaw Valley. This all-ages party includes a lavish buffet and begins at 6 p.m. A children's buffet will also be available. The Toast does not include a cable car ride, but discounted tickets are available at $22 for adults and $11 for kids 12 and under. New Year's Eve in Olympic House at Squaw Valley - After enjoying the fireworks show at 9 p.m. (best viewed from the KT Base Bar), get over to the Olympic House for a New Year's Eve party and bring in 2013 with a bang. Music will include NVO at the Olympic Plaza Bar and DJ Mancub at Bar One. This is a 21+ celebration (ID required) with a $10 cover.
New Year's Torchlight Parade and Fireworks at Mt. Rose - Start the New Year off right with an extended day at Mt. Rose. Enjoy a torchlight parade, food, drinks, fire pits, and an early fireworks show before continuing your festivities down the hill. The party will be at Winters Creek Lodge on the Slide Bowl side of the resort. A Heavenly New Year Celebration - Ring in the New Year at Heavenly (South Lake Tahoe) during the celebration at the Heavenly Village. This will be one of the best family-friendly celebrations at Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe SnowGlobe Music Festival - December 29 - 31. This will be the second annual SnowGlobe Music Festival. For three days, the festival will rock Lake Tahoe's South Shore, offering shows by world-class musicians, including Deadmau5, Wiz Khalifa, Chromeo, Beats Antique, Big Gigantic, Laidback Luke, MiMosa, Madeon, Gramatik, and Polica, to name a few. New Year's Eve at The Crystal Bay Club - The Jackie Greene Band will be rocking the Crystal Bay Club Crown Room to bring in 2013. The after party will feature Gino Matteo. New Year's Eve at Montbleu - The Montbleu Resort Casino in South Lake Tahoe is having a New Year's Eve bash that includes three party zones - Blu Nightclub, Opal Ultra Lounge, and the Convention Center featuring live music by Pop Fiction. This an adults-only evening, featuring go-go dancers, body painting, party favors, and DJs playing lots of music. The celebration begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $55 in advance, $75 at the door. New Year's Fireworks in Downtown Reno
If you are in Reno for New Year's Eve, come to the 2012 Reno New Year's fireworks show. There is great viewing from Virginia Street by the Reno Arch. The show is sponsored by the downtown hotel casinos and the City of Reno. Be downtown at midnight for this spectacular fireworks display and fun street party.
