Reno has a wide variety of health care services for all members of the community. These include large medical center / hospital complexes providing state-of-the-art care as well as a variety of community health centers and clinics available to low-income citizens who meet federal and state qualifications. There is also a network of health care providers offering reduced rates to those meeting certain criteria.

Reno / Tahoe Hospitals and Medical Centers

Reno / Tahoe has an excellent selection of full-service hospitals and other health services. There are emergency services, various clinics, specialized treatment units, and private doctors to serve your health care needs.

Reno Community Health Centers and Clinics

There are a wide variety of health centers and clinics serving Reno / Tahoe residents. These facilities help fill the gaps in health care availability. We are fortunate to have several of these facilities available to low-income citizens who meet federal and state qualifications. Another program helps make medical services more affordable with a network of health care providers that offer reduced rates.

Getting Flu Shots in the Reno / Tahoe Region

Getting flu shots is the most important step in protecting you and your children against catching the flu, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Certain people have been identified by CDC as those who should be vaccinated every year because they are at high risk for serious seasonal flu complications or care for such people. For the 2010-2011 flu season, CDC is recommending that everyone 6 months of age and up get a seasonal flu vaccination.
