About the Reno Gay Pride Festival
The Reno Gay Pride Festival celebrates diversity and equality with its 15th annual event at downtown Reno's Wingfield Park. While the event's activities emphasize the gay and lesbian community, and some are for adults only, everyone is invited to enjoy the entertainment at Wingfield Park.
Attending the Reno Gay Pride Festival
The 2011 Reno Gay Pride Festival will be on August 20, 2011, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $5. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. If you are coming from out of town, the official host hotel is Harrah's Reno. There are lots more rooms at Reno's hotel casinos and they are within walking distance of Wingfield Park and the various other venues hosting Reno Gay Pride activities. You'll also find information about GLBT-friendly hotels from the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA).

Reno Gay Pride VIP Welcome Party and Comedy Night
These events will be in Harrah's Reno on Friday evening, August 19. The Sapphire Lounge will be the scene of the VIP Welcome Party, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Comedy Night will be in Sammy's Showroom, featuring Julie Goldman at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.
Of course, Harrah's isn't the only choice in Reno watering holes. There are several other gay bars and nightclubs scattered around the city.
