Summer Outburst - Sparks Parks & Rec
Our Summer Outburst program provides a variety of fun, age appropriate activities for children, including arts and crafts, swimming, sports, movies, Wild Island Water Slides and Golf, skating, special guests, bowling, and more. These activities are included in the registration fees.You must register for Summer Outburst in person at the Recreation Office, 98 Richards Way, and submit an Emergency Information Form, a PG-movie waiver, and a Pump It Up facility waiver. VSA arts of Nevada Summer Art Camps
From the website: "Join us for fun creative summer camps! Your child will be nurtured and inspired to create, imagine, and act. Each day campers will experience visual arts, creative movement and drama. All activities are age appropriate and the projects will allow each child to express their individual creativity." KIDS University is sponsored by Extended Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. The day camp for kids entering 2nd through 8th grades features week long sessions with different themes. Nevada Wolf Pack Athletics Camps

This camp provides a fun-filled week of music and activities at Lake Tahoe. For musicians entering grades 6 - 12. Dates are July 26 - Aug. 1, 2009. Tuition is $500. A deposit of $250 must be made at the time of registration and tuition must be paid in full by July 13, 2009. Due to limited space, registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. These summer camps are by the Northern Nevada International Center (NNIC). Both are five days, for grades 1 - 6, and meet from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the William Raggio Building, Room 1003, on the UNR campus. Registration is $180 for the first child, with 10% discount for siblings. Some scholarships are available. Kids will discover the language, stories, food, art, music, and sports of the Paiute, Shoshone, and Washoe people.
Five Continents in Five Days - July 13 - 17, 2009. This camp takes kids around the world, exploring languages, foods, stories, history, art, sports, music, and dance from five continents.
Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada
Girls do not need to be Girl Scout members to participate.Summer Adventure Day Camp is for six weeks during June and July. It's the only all-girl day camp in our area. For information, call (775) 322-0642, ext. 223.
Summer Adventure Series is a new summer series of level specific outdoor programming during the 2009 summer as an alternative for girls in lieu of Camp Wasiu II program offerings.

Project Science Camps
Project Science camps offer a daily combination of in-class discovery and exploration, outdoor games and physical activities and hands-on applications of the scientific principles presented. Children will be able to touch, see, hear, smell and taste what science is really all about.Full and half-day camps are offered. There are three camp themes, with sessions in June and July.
