Performing Arts Summer Camp at Bruka Theatre

Bruka Theatre presents their performing arts summer camp, in which young artists ages 8 - 16 are nurtured in a positive and creative theatre experience. The camp is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. Participants will learn about acting tools, scene work, script creation, improvisation and dance/movement for two weeks while exploring and adapting Alice in Wonderland for a public performance in July. The cost is $300 for two weeks. Sign up deadline is July 5. It's $250 is you sign up by June 15. Summer at the Ridge

Summer at the Ridge runs from June 18 to July 20 at Sage Ridge School in Reno. This summer enrichment program is open to all kids entering grades K through 12. Four sessions of courses include math, science, creative writing, language and culture, food and cooking, studio arts, theater, and mountain adventures. Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada

Lake Tahoe School Summer Camp

Lake Tahoe School Summer Camp is based in Incline Village on Lake Tahoe's north shore. There are programs for kids ages 5 to 15, with a wide variety of activities geared to outdoor fun. Kids-N-Art Summer Art Classes

Camp Git-along

Camp Git-along is open to all children age 6 to 15 living in the Reno/Sparks area, including those with physical and developmental disabilities. This is a non-profit organization and there is no charge for attending Camp Git-along. Call (775) 313-8521 for more information.

Thisisit Ranch Day Camp

From the website: "We believe young children benefit from experimenting with a variety of sports and crafts rather than specializing in a limited few. Our goal is to keep campers' bodies and minds busy with healthy, stimulating activities." The first session starts in June, with additional sessions through June and July. Camp Lotsafun

Camp Lotsafun is operated by Special Recreation Services, Inc., a non-profit organization. Their mission is "to provide recreational, therapeutic and educational opportunities for individuals with disabilities." There are Camp Lotsafun sessions in June, July, and August for combinations of children, teen, and adults. Summer camps are held at Grizzly Creek Ranch near Portola. Nevada Outdoor School

Great Basin Outdoor School

Great Basin Outdoor School holds camp sessions based at Camp Galilee on the shore of Lake Tahoe. This overnight experience focuses on science and ecology of the greater Lake Tahoe Basin. Spring, fall, and winter sessions are offered. Through experiential education in the natural world, children and young adults are empowered to make positive choices in their own lives, productive contributions to their communities, and sustainable decisions for the Earth.
