Winter Family Fun - Indoor Things to Do with Kids in the Reno / Tahoe Region

Family Fun For When The Cold Winds Blow

Here are some ideas for Reno / Tahoe winter family fun that don't involve snow and cold. There are numerous indoor activities during winter around the Reno / Tahoe region to keep children and families entertained when the weather outside is frightful.

Go To The Movies

Reno movie theaters are busy with local residents who love their movies. The metro area supports four multi-screen theaters, a cinema at the Grand Sierra Resort, and very cool film features at the Fleischmann Planetarium.

Let's Go Bowling

Reno bowling is a good old-fashioned way to have fun with the family. Reno, Sparks, and Carson City have a good selection of bowling alleys from which to choose. When it's cold outside (or too hot), a family bowling outing is a great activity.

Indoor Playgrounds and Gyms

Reno has a great selection of indoor play places and gyms where families and kids can have fun when it's too hot or cold outside. Our indoor playgrounds offer open play times, party rentals, daycare, and other types of fun activities. Reno even has a cool indoor roller skating rink and climbing gym.
