Easter Egg Hunts and Events Around Lake Tahoe

Easter Sunday, April 8

Easter Egg Hunts at Mt. Rose - Starting at noon, the Mt. Rose Main Lodge will be the site of the annual Easter Egg hunt in the snow. There will also be an Easter Brunch Buffet at Winters Creek Lodge on the Slide Bowl side of the mountain. The brunch will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $11.95 for adults, $8.95 for kids. For unlimited pass holders, it will be $9.95 and $6.75.

All-Mountain Easter Egg Hunt & Kids' Easter Egg Hunt at Alpine Meadows - Alpine Meadows guests will have the chance to comb the mountain for a golden egg containing a Bronze Season Pass in the free Adult Easter Egg Hunt. Hundreds of eggs will be hidden across all of Alpine's 2400 acres, but only one will be gold. This all-day hunt will begin when the lifts start moving at 9 a.m., and last until 4 p.m.

Kids 7 and under will be able to join the Easter Egg Hunt taking place at 10:15 a.m. at the Kids Camp Magic Carpet. Children 8 to 13 can participate in the Easter Egg Hunt at 10:15 a.m. at the Magic Carpet located off of Subway Chair.

On-Mountain Egg Hunt at Squaw Valley - The annual Easter Egg Hunt at Squaw Valley USA starts on Sunday when the lifts open. You hunt for eggs all over the mountain and the lucky winner with a golden egg gets a Bronze Season Pass for the 2012 - 2013 season. Clues will be provided all day on Twitter, Facebook, and the Squaw Valley smartphone app.

Golden Easter Egg Hunt at Sugar Bowl - Find the golden Easter egg somewhere on the mountain at Sugar Bowl and win a 2012 - 2013 Midweek season pass. The Easter Bunny will be there with clues about the location of the golden egg and there will also be other eggs with clues. Call (530) 426-6721 for more information.

Easter Festivities at Northstar - Northstar California will have an Easter Egg Hunt at the Village at Northstar starting at 10:30 a.m. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around for photo ops at the skating rink and also up on the mountain. Golden eggs will contain a variety of prizes. At 4:45 p.m., the Easter Bunny and Northstar Ski & Snowboard School mascot Ripperoo will lead a parade through the Village. There will be other activities during the day as well.
