Where to Get a Great Glass of Beer around Lake Tahoe

By

It's hard to beat the beauty of Lake Tahoe and a great glass of beer. You can get both at these breweries, microbreweries, and brewpubs located around the Sierra Nevada jewel of Lake Tahoe.

The Brewery at Lake Tahoe

The Brewery at Lake Tahoe offers a number of beers and ales, including the signature Bad Ass Ale. There is a diverse menu offering food to go with any of their brewed beverages. This brewery/restaurant is close to the Stateline casinos and Heavenly Ski Resort.

3542 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Fifty Fifty Brewing Company

Fifty Fifty Brewing Company in Truckee serves lunch and dinner to accompany a variety of regular and seasonal beers. A couple of these include Donner Party Porter and Truckee Blond Reserve.

11197 Brockway Rd. # 1, Truckee, CA 96161
(530) 587-2337

Stateline Brewery & Restaurant

Stateline is located just inside California in Heavenly Village, the complex with the Heavenly Gondola. Try a Stateline Pilsner or Avalanche Ale to go with food from the menu of mostly lighter fare like pizza, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. There is even a kid's menu.

4118 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150
(530) 542-9000

Mt. Tallac Brewing Company

This is a real local brewery with a small room for a few people to hang out and have a pint. There's no restaurant and it isn't really a bar and doesn't keep bar hours. It's probably a good idea to call ahead if you want to check it out. According to reviews on Yelp, however, it's got some of the best beer on the West Coast.

2060 Eloise Ave., South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150
