Biggest Little Tailgate Party
The Biggest Little Tailgate Party is a chance for football fans to do their thing in the streets of downtown Reno. You'll be able to rub elbows with former NFL players and enter a contest for a chance to toss a football for a million bucks. There will be a chili cook-off with recipes from local casinos, with fans doing the judging. Enjoy lots of vendors, including Budweiser and the Bud Girls serving up the suds. Big Game Party
This Super Bowl Big Game Party is at the downtown Reno Ballroom, put on by the Silver Legacy. It starts at 2 p.m. and tickets are $35. There will be a live broadcast and prizes from Reno's KOZZ radio, an all-you-can-eat buffet, two drink tokens and a Big Game hat for each person, and seating in front of big screens to watch the game. From January 24 through Super Bowl Sunday on February 1, the Nevada Humane Society will be celebrating with special pet adoption fees. Adult dogs are $40 and adult cats are $30. All pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption, all of which would cost $200 or more at a veterinary clinic. You'll even get a free bag of food for your new friend.The Nevada Humane Society is located at 2825 Longley Lane in Reno.
