Halloween for adults in Reno and up at Lake Tahoe gives grown-up revelers a variety of a parties for tricks, treats, drinking, and general adult rowdiness at a number of over 21 venues. An exception is at the Knitting Factory, where the Halloween party is age 18+.

14th Annual Freakers Ball at Brüka Theatre

Saturday, October 29 - With the theme of "Mystery and Intrigue," Brüka will continue the tradition of incredible costumes, theatrical antics, dancing, costume contests and the raffle. Doors will open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. 21 and over. This is Brüka’s annual "Funraiser." Come down and play with the Freaks! For tickets, call the Bruka box office at (775) 323-3221. Hours are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday thru Friday, 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. You can also get them at the Melting Pot World Emporium, 1047 South Virginia Street, Reno.

11th Annual Wild Erotic Ball

Friday, October 28 - The 11th Annual Wild Erotic Ball will be at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino in downtown Reno. Come to the hottest Halloween party in town where the tricks and treats are endless. There will be $5,000 in cash and prizes with awards going to most erotic female, most erotic pair and most unique. New extras this year include a naughty lounge, naughty photo booth and naughty cabanas. You must be 21 and wear a costume to attend this bash. Tickets are $25 in advance at the Silver Legacy box office or call (775) 325-7401. Sponsored by Wild 102.9 and Feeny’s Halloween Warehouse.

Reno Zombie Crawl 2011

Saturday, October 29 - The Reno Zombie Crawl 2011 starts at 8 p.m. at various locations in downtown Reno (revealed by Oct. 15 - check website). For $5, you get a map and a bracelet that will gain you entry into around 30 crawl bars, sign you up for contests, and entitle you to $2 and $3 drink specials. At 7 p.m., before the crawl starts, zombies can gather at the Reno Arch for a mass thriller dance on the streets of Reno. This is part of a world record attempt in conjunction with hundreds of other cities. The thriller dance is open to all ages. Proceeds from the Reno Zombie Crawl benefit the Northern Nevada chapter of the American Red Cross. Got questions? Refer to the Zombie FAQ.

Amplified Fright Fest Halloween Party at the Knitting Factory

Friday, October 28 - The Knitting Factory in Reno is hosting this 18+ Halloween bash. The show starts at 10 p.m. and tickets are $10 with costume, $13 w/o costume, and $200 for a 4-person party booth.

Saturday, October 29 - Boogieman's Ball Featuring DJ KOS at The Knit. Doors open at 7 p.m. This is an 18+ party with tickets starting at $10. There will be a costume contest with a $1000 first prize.

Halloween Hoedown at the Nugget

Saturday, October 29 - Get on down to John Ascuaga’s Nugget for this Halloween Hoedown. The free party will cast a spell on the Casino Cabaret from 9 p.m. to midnight. Guests will enjoy live hoedown music from Rick Hays & American Steel, drink specials for patrons in costume, a $1,000 costume contest, KBUL 98 FM live radio remote, and a special guest appearance by Zomboo and Miss Transylvania.

Freakin' Weekend at the Eldorado

Friday and Saturday, October 28 - 29 - Five bars and clubs inside the Eldorado will each be having special Halloween nights. There will be costume contests with cash prizes at The Blood Brothers event in the Brew Brothers and at the Zombie Lounge in Bubinga. Cover each night is $10 or $5 for those in costume. The cover gets you in to all five venues. It's free before 10 p.m. and to all Reno Zombie Crawl participants. The Eldorado is at 345 N. Virginia Street in downtown Reno.

Tricks & Treats Bar Crawl

Thursday, October 13 - The bars along Reno's East 4th Street, also known as Old Highway 40, will be hosting this costume event, featuring contests, prizes, drink specials, and other adult activities. Things start around 9 p.m. and revelers need to purchase a $5 wrist band to participate. E4 bars and restaurants are working to make this area into a new Reno entertainment district.

Halloween Events in the Lake Tahoe Area

Freaker's Ball at the Montbleu

Saturday, October 29 - The Annual Freakers Ball at Lake Tahoe's Montbleu will get you into three different venues for the price of admission - Opal Ultra Lounge, Blu Nightclub, MontBleu Convention Center. The party starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $20 in advance, $25 day of the party. There will be live music and $10K in costume prizes. This is billed as Lake Tahoe's biggest Halloween celebration.

Truckee Historical Haunted Walking Tour

Thursday and Friday, October 20 & 21 - This tour is for adults 21+ only. Meet at Moody's Bistro & Lounge, 10007 Bridge St. for this walking tour of downtown Truckee's historic and spooky places. The $30 tickets include a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage, and a raffle. The tour is a benefit for Trails & Vistas and the Truckee Donner Historical Society.

Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball

In Las Vegas, Saturday, October 29 - If you are going to be in Las Vegas for Halloween, the Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball might be the adult party you're looking for. Billed as the biggest Halloween party in the U.S., it will be at the South Point Hotel & Casino, from 9:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. Be sure to read the event information before deciding to attend. This looks like a wild one and not for the faint hearted or prudish.
