Super Bowl teams - The New York Giants advanced to Super Bowl XLVI with a 20-17 OT win over the San Francisco 49ers. They will meet the New England Patriots, who beat the Baltimore Ravens 23-20 in their playoff game.

If you can't attend the Super Bowl XLVI (46) game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN, on February 5, 2012, you can still enjoy Super Bowl mania right here in Reno. There are numerous places to party on Super Bowl Sunday and cheer on your favorite team. Lucas Oil Stadium is home to the NFL Indianapolis Colts.

Super Bowl Sunday at the Eldorado

The Eldorado Hotel Casino will be throwing a big Super Bowl XLVI party in the showroom, complete with stadium style seating. Doors open Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with the game kicking off at 3:30 p.m. Tickets for a reserved seat are $25 and include a beverage, a stadium food item such as a hot dog, nachos or sandwich, and a special souvenir hat commemorating the big game. For reservations, call (775) 786-5700. The Eldorado is at 345 N. Virginia Street in downtown Reno.

Fans can also enjoy Super Bowl XLVI at The Brew Brothers, with fourteen 50 inch plasma screen TVs and four 58 inch plasma screens. During the game, you can munch on sandwiches, burgers, salads and gourmet pizzas, and enjoy eight custom beers. The Brew Brothers opens at 11 a.m.

The Eldorado says some former NFL players will be at the party, including Frank Hawkins of the Oakland Raiders, Dan McGwire of the Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins, and Quinn Early of the San Diego Chargers and New Orleans Saints. Also look for former Harlem Globetrotter Eathan O’Bryant.

The Eldorado’s sports book is located at the northeast corner of the casino. Should you decide to wager on the game, you can catch the action and wagering lines in the sports book on twenty two 42 inch plasma HDTVs.

Peppermill Super Stadium Bash XLVI

Go to the Peppermill Reno to enjoy their Super Stadium Bash XLVI for Super Bowl XLVI. It's on Super Bowl Sunday in the Tuscany Events Center, starting at 2:30 p.m. Kickoff for the big game is at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $55 in advance, $60 at the door. Your party ticket includes big HD video screens to watch the game, Bud and Bud Light Draft at every table, three drink tickets per person, door prizes each quarter, meet and greet with the Budweiser Girls, an all-you-can-eat stadium food buffet, and Super Stadium bash T-shirt and mug..

Big Bowl Bash XLVI at the Atlantis

The Super Bowl party at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno begins at 3 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday. Things will be going on all over the casino. The race and sports book will show the game on 13-foot HDTVs. There will be food and drink specials, including $2.50 Coors Light and $5 stadium food. Club Paradise card holders can swipe their cards in the sports book starting at 2 p.m. for a chance to win free football merchandise. Enter the pigskin pool at $25 per square. Meet the Oakland Raiderettes on the Paradise Terrace from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. There will be photo ops - bring your camers. The Atlantis is at 3800 S. Virginia St. at Peckham Lane in Reno. Big Game Bash at Rail City Casino

The Big Game Bash will be in the Ale House, starting at 2 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday. The $20 per person entry gets you free Bud and Bud Light through the first quarter, an all-you-can-eat stadium food buffet, giveaways, contests, and drawings. The game will play on multiple big screen plasma TVs. Rail City Casino is at 2121 Victorian Avenue in Sparks. Call (775) 359-9440 for information.

Super Bowl Adoptions at Nevada Humane Society

The Nevada Humane Society is giving new meaning to "Super Bowl" with the Super Bowl Adoption Promotion, running from January 20 through Super Bowl Sunday on February 5. Everyone who adopts a pet during this period of time will receive a free ModaPet pet bowl (while they last). These bowls are Italian-designed, microwave and dishwasher safe, BPA-free, and unbreakable. The bowls were generously donated by ModaPet. During this promotion, most dogs can be adopted for $50 and cats (four months and older) for only $20. Each animal is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, normally a $200 value.

The Nevada Humane Society is located at 2825 Longley Lane in Reno. It's open Sunday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. There is also have a temporary adoption center at The Summit shopping center, Suite 405, between Hollister and Sunglass Hut, that is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday through February.
