Teams in Super Bowl XLVII
It's going to be the San Francisco 49ers vs. the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday, February 3, 2013. The final contenders were chosen following the AFC and NFC finals on January 20. The 49ers came from way behind to beat the Atlanta Falcons 28-24, and the Ravens outscored the New England Patriots 28-13. Both winners came out on top in their rival's home stadiums. With the 49ers in the game, expect heightened interest and big crowds at all of these Reno area Super Bowl parties.
Super Bowl Sunday
If you can't attend the Super Bowl XLVII (47) game at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, LA, on February 3, 2013, you can still enjoy Super Bowl mania right here in Reno. There are numerous places to party on Super Bowl Sunday and cheer on your favorite team. The big game kicks off at 3:30 Pacific time and will be broadcast on CBS. Mercedes-Benz Superdome is home to the NFL New Orleans Saints.

Super Bowl Viewing Party at UNR
Come cheer for Kap and the 49ers with fellow supporters at the University of Nevada family-friendly, alcohol-free Super Bowl viewing party at Cantina del Lobo, on the third floor of the Joe Crowley Student Union. Festivities begin at 2:30 p.m. There will be an all-you-can-eat buffet, raffle prizes, and poster making. Students with ID are free. It's $8.99 for the general public and alumni members receive a 20 percent discount. Children under 12 years old can eat for $5. There will be free parking in West Stadium Parking Complex, Brian J. Whalen Parking Complex, or in the metered spots south of Lawlor Events Center.
Super Bowl Sunday at the Eldorado
The Eldorado Hotel Casino will be throwing a big Super Bowl XLVII party in the showroom, complete with stadium style seating. Doors open Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with the game kicking off at 3:30 p.m. Tickets for a reserved seat are $25 and include a beverage, a stadium food item such as a hot dog, nachos or sandwich, and a special souvenir hat commemorating the big game. For reservations, call (775) 786-5700. The Eldorado is at 345 N. Virginia Street in downtown Reno.
The Eldorado says some former NFL players will be at the party, including Frank Hawkins of the Oakland Raiders, Dan McGwire of the Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins, Quinn Early of the San Diego Chargers and New Orleans Saints and Glenn Carano of the Dallas Cowboys.
Fans can also enjoy Super Bowl XLVII at The Brew Brothers inside the Eldorado, with fourteen 50 inch plasma screen TVs and four 58 inch plasma screens. During the game, you can munch on sandwiches, burgers, salads and gourmet pizzas, and enjoy eight custom beers. The Brew Brothers opens at 11 a.m.
The Eldorado’s sports book is located at the northeast corner of the casino. Should you decide to bet on the game, you can catch the action and wagering lines in the sports book on twenty two 42 inch plasma HDTVs.
Peppermill Super Stadium Bash XLVI
Go to the Peppermill Reno to enjoy their Super Stadium Bash XLVII for Super Bowl XLVII. It's on Super Bowl Sunday in the Tuscany Events Center, starting at 2:30 p.m. Kickoff for the big game is at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $60 in advance, $65 at the door. Your party admission includes big HD video screens to watch the game, Bud and Bud Light Draft at every table, three drink tickets per person, door prizes each quarter, a complimentary gift, an all-you-can-eat stadium food buffet, and meet and greet with the Budweiser Girls.

Big Game Party at the Reno Ballroom
This Super Bowl XLVII Big Game Party is at the downtown Reno Ballroom, put on by the Silver Legacy Resort Casino. It starts at 2 p.m. and tickets are $40 per person. There will be an all-you-can-eat buffet, a complimentary drink and a big game hat, and seating in front of big screens to watch the game. The Reno Ballroom is at 401 N. Big Game Watch and Win at the Grand Sierra Resort

Harrah's Super Bowl party willbe in the Stage at the Zone, starting at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free, but you can buy a Big Easy pass for $25, which gets you two draft beers, a buffet, and entries into drawings each quarter at at the half. Super Bowl Adoptions at Nevada Humane Society
The Nevada Humane Society is giving new meaning to "Super Bowl" with the Super Bowl Adoption Promotion, running from January 31 through Super Bowl Sunday on February 3. Everyone who adopts a pet during this period of time will receive a free ModaPet pet bowl (while they last). The bowls were generously donated by ModaPet. During this promotion, most dogs can be adopted for $49 and cats (four months and older) for only $7. Each animal is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, normally a $200 value.
