Labor Day in Reno, the last big holiday weekend of the summer, falls on Monday, September 3 in 2012. There are plenty of things to do for your last summer fling, and then begins the long slide into fall and winter. Fortunately, we are situated right in the middle of a myriad of activities, some of which don't even require a car to attend. Cost-conscious folks (which is just about all of us these days) can have plenty of Labor Day fun without breaking the budget.

South Lake Tahoe is the only place near Reno that will have a Labor Day fireworks show.
