The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) provides a wide variety of learning and social opportunities for older adults living in the Reno area. OLLI is sponsored by Extended Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, and most classes are held at the Warren Nelson Building in downtown Reno.

The program for spring, 2014 has already started, but there still a number of courses coming during January and on through April. Annual membership is $45 per person and scholarship assistance is available. In addition to classroom courses, OLLI sponsors a number of less formal interest groups for discussions and socializing. A few of these are mystery books, metaphysics, OLLI hikers and walkers, and cracker barrel. Learn more about joining OLLI, the interest groups, and classes from my "Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UNR in Reno" article.

A source for the latest information is "OLLI Reno News," the organization's blog. Here you can learn about pre-registration for popular classes and much more.

I just checked the OLLI website and classes for 2014 have not yet been posted. I’d start checking back at the end of January to the first part of February. You could also try calling the OLLI office at (775) 784-8053, or UNR Extended Studies at (775) 784-4046.
