Ault's record over 28 years of coaching stands at 233-109-1. His amazing run as the Wolf Pack's head football coach brought national recognition to the team and to the University of Nevada, Reno. I was around for the phenomenal 2010 season, when Ault guided the Pack to a 13-1 record and victories over Boise State and Boston College in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. The quarterback during that winning season, Colin Kaepernick, as since gone on to a promising NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers.

Since he is in good health and only 66, we probably haven't heard the last of Chris Ault. There is already talk of his getting involved with the NFL, but we'll see. Stay tuned for the next chapter in Ault's football saga.

The names of possible replacements are already floating around, but a successor has yet to be named.
