Reno's inaugural restaurant week event, Reno Bites, will celebrate locally-owned restaurants and their cuisine with seven days of deals and events. From food trucks to fine dining, more than a dozen eateries throughout Reno will offer prix fixe menus, signature items, and events to entice diners into a week of culinary exploration.

This citywide event is taking place from Monday, October 22 through Sunday, October 28. The weeklong foodie fest is the first of its kind in Reno, whose growing culinary scene is packed with a diverse array of restaurateurs and chefs. Reno Bites was created to encourage food lovers to patronize the wide range of locally-owned dining establishments and support small businesses within the Truckee Meadows community.

In addition to their regular menu items, participating restaurants will offer a signature item or meal, or a three-course prix fixe menu at a discounted price. A few will also feature a culinary event (see the Reno Bites calendar for details). Here is a list of the eateries. For addresses and more information, refer to Participating Restaurants.

  • Bistro 7
  • Burger Me
  • Campo
  • Cheese Board
  • Composition Café
  • Gold 'N Silver Inn
  • Gourmelt Grilled Cheese Truck
  • Imperial Bar & Lounge
  • Men Wielding Fire
  • Noble Pie Parlor
  • Old Granite Street Eatery
  • SoDo
  • Un Caffé Italian Bistro
  • Wet Hen Cafe
  • Wild River Grille

Special events within the week include a wine pairing dinner at Bistro 7 on Tuesday the 23rd, an eight-course foie gras dinner at Campo on Thursday the 25th, a multi-course sushi and sake pairing at Composition Café on Wednesday the 24th, and a chefs' competition at SoDo on Saturday the 27th.

Some of these restaurants are included in my story about "Top Places for Outside Dining in Downtown Reno."
