Our Washoe County Library continues to feature outstanding programs and activities each month and October, 2012 is no exception. The variety is amazing, with reading programs for children and teens, family movies, and activities for adults and seniors, to name just a few. All of this is free to library patrons.

Some activities and programs, such as Teen Read Week, span the system and others are specific to certain branches. The library activities I've listed give you a look at what's going on during the month, but each branch has additional activities just at that branch.

Of special interest during October is early voting (Saturday, October 20 through Friday, November 2) for the 2012 General Election. Many branches of the Washoe County Library will be polling places for early voting and you can cast your ballot at any of them. Check my "Where to Vote Early in Reno and Washoe County" article for branches and times, as well as other places you can vote early.

Library hours sometimes change with ongoing budget adjustments. Get details about these changes from my "Washoe County Library Hours and Services" article before heading to your favorite library.
