When the trees start turning colors and that cool nip is in the air, it's harvest season and time for harvest festivals and craft fairs around the Reno area. There are several of these events coming up in October and November. You can shop for holiday gifts, get some homemade goodies, and support local good causes, all while buying from local crafters and artisans and keeping your dollars circulating in our own economy rather that someone else's.

Reno's craft and harvest fairs run the gamut from small affairs to big events with dozens of vendor booths. At the smaller end, you can buy locally at events like the McQueen Craft Faire, Senior Sampler at the Assistance League, and Lake Mansion Jingles with Art and History. Bigger arts and crafts events include the Magic of Santa Arts and Crafts Fair and Crafts for Christmas at John Ascuaga's Nugget.
With everything going on, it's difficult to hear about everything. If you are holding a fall harvest and/or craft fair, or know about one I haven't listed, please let me know by adding it to my coverage of Holiday Arts, Crafts, and Harvest Fairs in the Reno / Tahoe Area. You can also let me know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
