For October, the theme of hands/ON! is "Dia de los Muertos: Paper Flowers & Ghost Stories." Learn about this tradition celebrating the souls of those who have passed. The October schedule for hands/ON! is in my article about events and activities at the NMA.
Free admission to hands/ON! on 2nd Saturdays includes all current exhibits at the Nevada Museum of Art as well. Be sure to check out the exhibits and other events at the only accredited art museum in Nevada.
To enhance your visit to the NMA, a new exhibit will debut on Saturday. The Light Circus: Art of Nevada Neon Signs is a visual treat and trip into Nevada's past era of glowing neon signs. Will Durham has assembled a collection of these vintage signs and they will be lit for visitors to enjoy.
The Nevada Museum of Art is located at 160 W. Liberty Street in downtown Reno.
