Get e-books and audiobooks from your Washoe County Library

You no longer have to actually go to the Washoe County Library to check out thousands of titles. If you have a library card and can get online, e-books and audio books are available for patrons to download to virtually any electronic device, from dedicated e-readers to smart phones.

Conceptually, the online system works like checking out traditional books - you search for and select titles, check them out for a specified period of time, then check them back in. The big differences are than you can do it from just about anywhere and you need an electronic device to read or listen to the files. These days, virtually everyone has some sort of gizmo that will work with the library's system.

Of course, this isn't for everyone. Some of us prefer paper books and there are still way more of those than e-books. Get these at any of numerous branches of the Washoe County Library throughout the Reno / Sparks area.
