It looks like our weather for the Labor Day holiday weekend around Reno is going to be warm and sunny. My article lists numerous things to do, including one of the biggest and best events in our area - the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off, which offers lots of good food, fun, and free entertainment through Labor Day on September 3.

Aside from eating, there's nothing more American than baseball. The Reno Aces end the 2012 regular season with four games at home, starting on August 31 and winding up on September 3 with Fan Appreciation Day. But there's more - the Aces will be in the playoffs again this year unless they have a total collapse at the end of the regular season (not likely). Potential playoff games at Aces Ballpark will be on September 7, 8, and 9. Playoff tickets are now available. Should the Aces advance, games 1 and 2 of the PCL Championship Series will be held in Reno on September 11 and 12.
