The Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts is perhaps the best such auditorium in Reno and all of northern Nevada. Sure, there are nice showrooms in many of the casinos, but the Pioneer Center is several cuts above in my opinion.

Many local performing arts groups, such as dance studios, use the Pioneer Center for their special events. Three of Reno's top performing arts organizations are resident companies - A.V.A. Ballet Theatre, Nevada Opera, and Reno Philharmonic. Artown and Artown Encore have used the professional facilities at the Pioneer Center.
One of the most successful productions at the Pioneer Center continues to be the Broadway Comes To Reno! series, bringing to town top shows from some of the country's best touring companies. For something quite a bit different, there is the Pioneer Underground, an intimate venue currently occupied by Reno Tahoe Comedy. Either way, you are sure to enjoy the shows at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts.
