It's time to look ahead to 2012. I'm thinking it can't help but be better than '11, so let's start off right by attending a fun New Year's Eve celebration. Reno New Year's Eve holiday activities, events, and shows include fireworks over the Reno Arch and lots of parties at casinos and nightclubs. Up in the mountains, Lake Tahoe New Year's Eve events will be at casinos and ski resorts, some of which will light the sky with fireworks as well. There are also New Year's activities especially for kids, teens, and families.

Don't DUI On New Year's Eve - There's no excuse to try driving after hoisting a few this New Year's Eve, or any other time for that matter. Our public transit system will be offering free rides from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. on routes throughout the Truckee Meadows.
