The fall 2011 version of the Friends of Washoe County Library Book Sale Bonanza features thousands of items, including fiction and non-fiction books, vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, collectibles, Nevada books, and children's books. This is a bargain hunters delight, with prices starting at 50 cents for paperbacks and only 25 cents for children's books.

The fall 2011 sale runs from Friday, October 28 through Sunday, November 6. Thursday, October 27 is preview day for Friends members, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.. If you aren't a member, you can join at the door. The other days are open to the public during the hours I've noted in my Book Sale Bonanza article.
The Friends of Washoe County Library Book Sale Bonanza will be at 5205 Mill St. at Edison in Reno (the old Excel Communications building). There is plenty of free parking.
Aside from the book sale, there are plenty of other things going every month on at various branches of our Washoe County Library. The big things in October are Halloween events. Check my article to see which branches are hosting activities for the little ghouls and goblins.
