Halloween around Reno isn't all about trick-or-treating and candy. If you are over 21, you can engage in some adult themed Halloween howling at several parties and activities around the area.

The Reno Zombie Crawl, wherein a phalanx of the walking dead prowl downtown Reno while visiting numerous watering holes to imbibe adult beverages, is perhaps the most visible and fun of these activities. The Crawl takes to the streets on October 29 at 8 p.m., starting at various drinking establishments. There is more to this than just dressing up like a zombie and drinking, so check out the website for details.

For non-crawlers, there will be other parties around town at many of the casinos and nightclubs. Bruka Theatre will be having its annual Freaker's Ball, also on October 29. If you'll be up a Lake Tahoe, the MontBleu at Stateline is holding its own version of a Freaker's Ball.

For those not quite old enough for drinking events, check out the 18+ Amplified Fright Fest Halloween Party at The Knitting Factory in Reno.
