Two games into its 2011 season, the UNR Nevada Wolf Pack football team's record stands at 1-1. Following a serious drubbing at the hands of the Oregon Ducks in their first game, the Pack squeaked out a 17-14 win over the San Jose State Spartans in their second road game. It wasn't pretty, but as the old saying goes, a win is a win.

The Wolf Pack's schedule includes two more road games. On September 24, they will be at Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX. Then comes Boise State on October 1. The Pack beat Boise at home in 2010, a major upset the Broncos will badly want to avenge.
The Pack's first home game at Mackay Stadium will be on October 8 vs. UNLV. This is the traditional Battle for the Fremont Cannon and always a great game between these intrastate rivals. UNR won last year down in Las Vegas, but that doesn't mean much as these games are always hotly contested no matter where either team stands in the rankings.
If you plan on going to any Wolf Pack home games, be sure to check out the information about getting tickets in my Wolf Pack football article. The 2011 UNR football schedule includes six home games at Mackay Stadium.
