#about - The trauma associated with the 9/11 terrorist attacks on our country has never left us and probably never will. This September 11, 2011, marks the 10th anniversary of the horror visited on New York, the Pentagon, and Flight 93 over Pennsylvania. Fitting tributes to both victims and heroes are planned for here in Reno, elsewhere in Nevada, and literally all across America.

The official northern Nevada 9/11 remembrance ceremony will be at the Great Reno Balloon Race. Come out early on Sunday, September 11 (6:30 a.m.) to be part of this event with Governor Brian Sandoval and other dignitaries. Following the ceremony, all hot air balloons in the mass ascension will carry an American flag aloft in tribute to the occasion.
