Preview of Reno's September events

#about - Summer may be waning now that Labor Day is past, but several of Reno's really big and fun events are still to come. Here is a preview of what to look forward to in September. For even more, refer to my list of September Events and Festivals.

• Great Reno Balloon Race - Sept. 9 - 11.
• Virginia City International Camel Races - Sept. 9 - 11.
• 2011 Special Congressional Election - Election Day is Sept. 13.
• Reno National Championship Air Races and Air Show - Sept. 14 - 19.
• Street Vibrations - Sept. 21 - 25.
• Reno / Tahoe Farmer's Markets - some markets continue running through September.

In September we also mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States. As a tribute to the victims and heroes of that day, there are numerous 9/11 10th Anniversary Memorial Events in Reno, around Nevada, across the nation. The official northern Nevada remembrance event will be early Sunday morning, September 11, at the Great Reno Balloon Race.
