#About - CommRow project takes shape in downtown Reno, Nevada. Below workers on the scaffolds, a deck for climbers extends out over the sidewalk. The old Fitzgerald's "F" is still visible in this picture, but will be gone when the climbing wall is done. Photo © Stan White.
The old Fitzgerald's hotel casino next to the Reno Arch, shut down in November of 2008, is being resurrected as CommRow. Billed as a non-smoking, non-gaming "uban adventure destination," CommRow is scheduled to open in September, 2011. The initial opening will feature the world's tallest climbing wall looming over Virginia Street, plus bouldering, entertainment venues, and food inside. Scheduled for 2012 are the pet-friendly Hang Hotel and an Adventure Deck on the roof of the parking garage across the street.
If this sounds like a place you'd like to work, CommRow wants to hear from you. They are currently hiring for a number of positions and accepting applications at Jobs at CommRow. Along with an application, you are encouraged to submit a 60 second video demonstrating your personality.
