Museums, historic sites, and attractions in the Reno area come in a wide variety of flavors. There are museums for children and families, historical sites and parks, and preservation organizations dedicated to keeping Nevada history alive. Reno, Sparks, and northern Nevada museums have activities for the whole family to enjoy.

This is actually a good time to explore some of our museums. The snow is still deep up at Lake Tahoe and the weather down here in the Truckee Meadows has been anything but inviting for outdoor activities. Fortunately, there is a wonderful inside world for us, from amazing exhibits at the Nevada Museum of Art (NMA) to cool, out-of-this-world movies and activities at the Fleischmann Planetarium.
