Visit the Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary & Nature Center at dusk, a time when the nocturnal predators are wide awake and active. You'll enjoy an engaging and informative presentation about wolves, then be entertained by the magical sounds of a live wolf howl. The Animal Ark coyotes may also be inspired to join in. There will be a howling contest for kids and adults, with prizes for the best howlers.

Wolf Howl Night is on Saturday, June 4. The park opens at 6 p.m. (so you can visit the other animals) and the wolf presentation starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for children and seniors. To get to Animal Ark, take U.S. 395 north from Reno to Red Rock Road. Go right and drive 11.5 miles, then right again on Deerlodge Rd. to the park at 1265 Deerlodge.
