The Memorial Day three-day weekend offers numerous choices for things to do around Reno / Tahoe. Attractions like Wild Island Family Adventure Park in Sparks will be open. It will be a pleasant time to enjoy a visit to Lake Tahoe. The more adventurous might consider going to the Black Rock Rendezvous up on the Black Rock Desert playa. You might enjoy a Reno Aces baseball game or head up to Virginia City for a ride on the V&T railroad.

If you like to take time on Memorial Day to honor those who have died defending our country, there will be a service on Monday at 1 p.m. at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, a Celebration of Heroes Parade in Virginia City, and services at other memorial parks in the area.
The Reno weather forecast calls for partly sunny skies and temperatures toward the chilly side. Yet another low pressure system will be moving across northern Nevada, just in time for the weekend. It might even drop some snow around Lake Tahoe, so be ready for just about anything if you are going up to the mountains. It looks like the nicest day will be Memorial Day itself on Monday.
