The 2011 Reno River Festival paddles into town from May 6 through 8. If being a passive observer isn't your thing, you can get more involved by registering online to participate in activities both in the Truckee River and out. There is the kayaking, of course, but this year you can also have a go at video movie making, home beer brewing, and the always popular Run Amuck relay race. By pre-registering online for Reno River Festival events, you will reserve your spot in the competitions as well as ensuring that necessary waivers are signed, your registration packet is completed, and most importantly, you get the right size T-shirt. However, on-site registration will be available on Friday and Saturday.
