We have a nice range of activities available around Reno for St. Patrick's Day revelry. There is always the traditional drinking of the green beer and ale, but those who seek other activities will not be disappointed. You can enjoy Irish music at various venues, head up to Virginia City for the unusual St. Patrick's Day Parade & Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry, and more.

There is no lack of choice in the Irish pub department around Reno / Tahoe. Some are pretty much just that - pubs. Others serve food with their libations, and still others put on the full Irish monty of food, drink, music, dance, and other entertainment. If you need a hand locating a nearby establishment, check out our Top Reno, Sparks, and Lake Tahoe Irish Pubs, then give your friendly local pub a call to find out what's going on for St. Patrick's Day.

To help keep it fun and safe, all of you who like to enjoy those Irish-themed adult beverages should know there is an alternative to the risky business of driving after partying - take the bus with the Free St. Patrick's Day Safe RIDE Program. RTC RIDE, RTC RAPID, and RTC CONNECT will be offering free rides from 6 p.m. to midnight on routes throughout the Truckee Meadows. Sierra SPIRIT, the always free downtown Reno bus system, will be extending hours of operation to midnight.
